Bitcoin Could Reach $122,000 in 10 Months? “88% Chance of Rally”

An analysis suggests that Bitcoin (BTC) could surge to $122,000 within the next 10 months based on an indicator derived from historical return data.

According to Cointelegraph on February 23 (local time), economist Timothy Peterson recently analyzed Bitcoin’s price trends and presented this outlook. Peterson noted that Bitcoin recorded gains during 50% of the past 24 months. Applying this historical frequency to current market conditions indicates an 88% probability that Bitcoin’s price will be higher than its current level in 10 months, by early 2027.

Peterson explained that applying the average historical return of approximately 82% results in a target price of $122,000 for Bitcoin. He added that the indicator focuses more on the frequency of price increases rather than the magnitude of gains. Even if Bitcoin continues to move sideways in the near term, the indicator suggests it is still likely positioned at an inflection point within a long-term upward trend.

Despite Bitcoin’s recent sluggish performance, optimism among major Wall Street financial institutions continues. Bernstein has maintained its $150,000 price target for Bitcoin, describing the current downturn as one of the mildest corrections in history. Wells Fargo also projected that approximately $150 billion in capital could flow into Bitcoin and equity markets by the end of March.

The latest indicator shows that historical statistics continue to point to strong upside potential even amid weakened market sentiment. Experts advise focusing on institutional capital inflows and the repetition of long-term price cycles rather than reacting to short-term volatility.
