Will Trump’s Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs Reshape the Market?

U.S. President Donald Trump’s social media company has officially announced the launch of exchange-traded funds (ETFs) based on Bitcoin and Ethereum, directly entering the cryptocurrency ETF market.

According to crypto-focused outlet Watcher.Guru on Feb. 14 (local time), Truth Social Funds, a subsidiary of Truth Social founded by President Trump, has filed registration documents with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for ETFs based on Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH). The filings are subject to SEC review and are not yet effective.

The proposed products are the “Truth Social Cronos Yield Maximizer ETF” and the “Truth Social Bitcoin and Ether ETF.” The Cronos product is designed to seek staking reward income in addition to the price performance of Cronos (CRO), a token within the Cronos ecosystem. The Bitcoin and Ether ETF aims to track the combined performance of Bitcoin and Ether, incorporating Ethereum staking rewards into its structure.

Details of the operational structure were also disclosed. Truth Social Funds plans to launch the ETFs in partnership with Crypto.com, which will handle digital asset custody, liquidity, and staking services. Investors will be able to purchase the products through Crypto.com’s broker-dealer, Foris Capital US LLC. Yorkville America Equities, LLC will serve as the advisor for both ETFs, with a fee set at 0.95%.

Steve Neamtz, head of Yorkville America Equities, stated that the firm aims to build a platform that provides both capital appreciation and income-generating opportunities in the digital and cryptocurrency investment space. Kris Marszalek, co-founder and CEO of Crypto.com, also emphasized that the ETFs offer a strong value proposition and expressed enthusiasm about providing accessibility to traders.

The filings have drawn attention as they align with the Trump administration’s pro-cryptocurrency policy stance. However, SEC approval and specific listing timelines have yet to be determined, and the review process is expected to continue until final approval is granted.
