Prominent Analyst Says Bitcoin Bear Market Will End Within a Year

A rosy outlook has emerged that Bitcoin (BTC), after ending its prolonged downtrend, will officially conclude the bear market within the next year and usher in the beginning of a new bullish rally.

According to cryptocurrency media outlet NewsBTC on Feb. 17 (local time), virtual asset analyst Rekt Capital analyzed Bitcoin’s historical price cycles and halving data and concluded that the current bear market will last less than 365 days. The analyst emphasized that in the past, Bitcoin has consistently entered powerful bull markets after undergoing a period of correction following halvings. The current market pain, he explained, represents the final stage of compressing energy before a breakout.

Rekt Capital stated that Bitcoin is currently in a re-accumulation phase, which historically appears just before large-scale price surges. Following the fourth halving in April 2024, Bitcoin has tended to experience a bull market lasting approximately 500 to 550 days. Based on this pattern, the first half of 2026 is likely to mark the peak of the next explosive price rally. The analyst advised investors to focus on the market’s macro trends and cycles rather than reacting emotionally to short-term price fluctuations.

The formation of Bitcoin’s bottom is also being confirmed by on-chain indicators. Rekt Capital cited the gradual exhaustion of selling pressure and the renewed accumulation by long-term holders as key evidence. Bitcoin’s ability to defend major support levels while forming higher lows suggests that the downtrend has effectively ended. In particular, the continued inflow into spot ETFs by institutional investors is serving as a strong pillar, defending against downward pressure and driving price recovery.

As decisive catalysts for price appreciation, expanding macroeconomic liquidity and accelerating institutional adoption were highlighted. Rekt Capital projected that shifts in global central bank monetary policies would stimulate capital inflows into risk assets such as Bitcoin. As regulatory frameworks become more established, the entry of large capital that had previously hesitated to participate is expected to mark the inflection point signaling the end of the bear market and the beginning of a bull market.

Bitcoin now appears to be preparing for an unprecedented supercycle at the tail end of a long-term bear market. Rekt Capital expressed confidence that a one-year timeframe is sufficient for Bitcoin to break past its previous all-time high and write a new chapter in price history. As market skepticism reaches its peak, analysis suggesting that this could be the optimal entry point for achieving historic returns is gaining traction.
